Many more people including foreigners are making the move to the City of Angels because this is the heart of Thailand and if they want to find a job that pays well then moving to the capital city makes perfect sense. Everyone wants to do better in this life and in order for that to happen, you need to go where the success is. Accommodation is a major consideration when moving to the city and there are a number of accommodation options available to people but there is some confusion as to what is the difference between an apartment and a serviced apartment.

Thankfully, there are a number of luxury serviced apartments in Bangkok currently available but they won’t be for very long. These particular accommodation choices are incredibly popular because people live fast paced lives and so they just don’t have the time to do the things that need to be done when living in a standard apartment. If you are somewhat confused as to the differences then the following are just some that you might want to be aware of.

  • The choice between furnished/unfurnished – If you are moving to the big city then the last thing that you want to be doing is having to buy furniture to put into your new apartment and this is the beauty about serviced apartments because everything is there for you already. This includes everything that you would need for your living space including kitchen appliances. If you opt for the standard apartment choice then you will be moving into a bare building with nothing inside.
  • The ongoing maintenance – As was touched on briefly before, if you are trying to build a new career for yourself then you just don’t have the time to carry out regular maintenance that needs to happen so that the property doesn’t go into disrepair. This is another selling point of a serviced apartment because all of the maintenance is carried out for you and so this is something that you don’t have to worry about at all.
  • The number of neighbours – It can be frustrating living in an apartment building that has too many tenants and especially so if it has a swimming pool and gymnasium. You will find that every time that you want to use either of these two things, there are always people there and so you don’t get to enjoy the facilities. The beauty about serviced apartments is that numbers are restricted and so this will cut down the chances of extensive noise and your ability to get some privacy when you are on your day off or you are in your apartment in the evening time.

These are only three differences between a standard apartment and serviced apartments and there are numerous more. This is going to be your home for the foreseeable future and so it makes perfect sense that you would choose the best option for you and your family members. Be sure to choose wisely always.
